For this year’s Student Film Competition flyer, I wanted to create something from scratch. Each year, we select a marine animal for the festival’s main poster, but the Student Film Competition also chooses either the same animal or a different one. This year, it was a squid, and this squid in particular is rising out of the San Francisco Bay carrying movie-making props. The image was so successful that the festival received its highest submissions ever and the design was considered to be made into a shirt.

The film festival’s printed collateral consists of posters, flyers, festival badges/passes, tickets, signage, mailers, and a program. This is just a few of the collateral that is used for the film festival. Not shown are the indoor and outdoor signage, which include metal street signs, vinyl banners, retractable banners, step & repeat, and foamcore boards. With a large printing package, this requires multiple printer companies and communication.
IOFF World Oceans Day 2020

Logo animation for the celebration of World Oceans Day 2020. The client requested the the wave form of the logo spiral into a circle, then turn into an opening aperature. Inside the aperature world be the earth that would fizzle down into more waves. The last sequence was altered to change to a spinning globe that faded back to the stationary logo and the text “Celebrating World Oceans Day” would appear as wave-like.
